[Project board for Maze escape](https://github.com/Syndamia/Shower/projects/3)

❗Project abandoned due to overwhelming complexity compared to my current level of knowledge❗

* How it began

A couple of days before closing Bitspace I was thinking about a new challenge, something that is less a matter of time and more of figuring out how to do it. I remembered a video a while back explaining how Wolfenstein 3D and the original DOOM weren't actually in 3D but simulated it, and this is how the idea of a "3D" game began. I chose to make it a maze game so that I don't waste my time on game mechanics and on screen printing (idea came from Windows XP maze screensaver).

* Coding it

The whole game is coded in C# (Console app (.Net framework)). The problem is that console applications aren't made for graphics, even less for 3D graphics, even when trying only to simulate them.

* Goals

Make a working game, that is at least visually interesting.

* Mechanics that need to be implemented
  - Printing "3D" from 2D map (flexible, can change "resolution")
  - Random map generation (make sure maze is possible to be beaten)
  - Player UI (shows which directions you can go)
